KALA 88.5FM is celebrating 50 years on the air with a dinner program Nov. 2.
The celebration begins with guided tours of the station at 4:30 p.m. The station is located on St. Ambrose University’s campus inside the Galvin Fine Arts Center off of Gaines Street in Davenport, Iowa.
At 6:00 p.m., a cocktail hour will begin inside the Rogalski Center Ballroom. The building is located on the St. Ambrose University campus off of Lombard and Ripley Streets in Davenport. During cocktail hour, complimentary beer and wine will be available along with cheese and crackers and a vegetable platter.
Dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m. The Buffet will include entrees of vegetable lasagna and bruschetta chicken. Anyone with dietary restrictions is asked to contact David Baker at bakerdavidw@sau.edu. Following dinner, a brief program highlighting the history of KALA will be held.
The cost of the event is $35 per-person through Oct. 25 and $40 per-person Oct. 26-30 and are available through this link. Tickets cannot be purchased at the door.
Out of town guests can receive a discounted room at the Steeplegate Inn in Davenport if they mention St. Ambrose University.
